this song is more of an epilogue than anything. it's an acknowledgement of times that came before, and the understanding that there's work to be done to go forward. it's humbly asking for a new chance at life, with a new perspective gained. while life may be a circle, maybe there's a way to turn that circle on its head. forwards and backwards, but a little more forwards than the other.

ben really helped me on this song, providing the complete guitar for this. he elevated this song and allowed it to emulate a genre i always wanted to in my music. i hope this finale caps off the album in a way that feels satisfying.
